Meet our Board of Directors!
And lets not forget our Volunteers!
The Nature Center is open for three hours a day, seven days a week and is staffed on most days by volunteers. Currently all AELC volunteers who host in the Nature Center building work through the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), but the AELC gladly welcomes volunteers of all ages.
In addition to hosting in the Nature Center building, the AELC also relies on and appreciates the hard work of volunteers who groom trails and work on various service projects. Boy Scout troops from the area have done various projects including brush removal in the campgrounds. Volunteers have also put in countless hours in ground preparation and seeding to reestablish native grasses at the AELC. Volunteers also put in many hours during our annual Haunted Trails.
If you would be interested in volunteering at the AELC, please contact Lisa at (218) 945-3136. Volunteer opportunities will also be posted on this website for specific events or projects, so keep checking back!
